Absolutely love this amazing lady and her practice. It has been a bright place during a pregnancy that has been filled with a lot of anxiety and stress. She has not only relieved ongoing physical pains that I have been experiencing but also has been a place of centering and peace. Strongly recommend her services. I am now in the postpartum period, and it has literally saved my life. Dr. Charminae is still listening to me and my body while working on my recovery after giving birth. She has also worked on baby boy several times because his growth is rapid and he occasionally requires assistance. We both adore her, and the atmosphere she fosters is a constant oasis in my week. If you’re on the fence, go ahead and try it and talk to her. She always responds to every question with wisdom and care. Trust me, you will not be disappointed with the care you receive for your body and mind by working with Dr. Charminae.Worth every cent and minute of your time. 5 stars all the way!

Dr. Charminae is amazing! I have never received chiropractic cared before, so I had no Idea what to expect. Before anything happened she sat with me and took the time to get to know me on a personal level. I immediately felt right at home. Second, she began to educate me on her expertise and what our sessions would look like. I am currently still pregnant and still working with Dr. Charminae, so I can say that I am feeling the difference and impact from our sessions. From day one to now, the tightness I felt in my back, hips, neck and pelvic area have all lessened and gets better after every visit. She doesn’t only focus on temporary relief in her office, she educates me and my husband and gives us homework to participate in the healing and recovery process! What I enjoy most about Dr. Charminae is her energy, personality, character and dedicated intention to not just be a professional to a client but a human being to human being, a woman to a concerned mama. Anyone can deliver services and medical facts, but not everyone can make you feel welcome, at ease and like they take pleasure in caring for you. Dr. Charminae does that! I would 1000% encourage all mamas to seek chiropractic care (especially with Dr. Charminae) because there is so much I didn’t know about my body, exercise routine and posture that is impacted during pregnancy. Dr. Charminae is the best chiro for pregnant mamas! I started seeing her around week 20 in my pregnancy to help with my lower back and round ligament pain, and after a few sessions with her my round ligament pain went away and I was able to better manage my lower back pain. She helped with balancing and aligning my pelvic area which gave me the confidence to attempt a VBAC. I came back to see her for a postnatal adjustment after I ended up having a c-section, and she even ended up helping me with breastfeeding tips since it was taking us a while to get latching down. I also brought my baby in for a session since he was struggling with gas, and she was able to help release the tension he was holding in his back from the gas and get everything moving! Her knowledge as a chiro and experience as a doula is so comforting and I’ve learned so much from her. She’s truly the best!

Dr. Charminae is the best! This is my 3rd pregnancy and first time ever getting chiropractic care. I honestly wish I had looked into it for my other pregnancies because I feel such a difference! Low back pain, round ligament discomfort and baby was even breech for some time – Dr. Charminae continues to address any and all of my concerns and makes sure I feel my best. I appreciate her extensive knowledge in her practice and also the way she empowers mamas with her kindness and support. I’m towards the end of my pregnancy so I see her weekly and safe to say I’m always looking forward to seeing her. I’ll definitely continue to see her postpartum and excited for her to also work on babe #3. Dr. Charminae is AMAZING and I am so grateful that I found her! I started seeing her around week 20 for pelvic pain and it is one of the best decisions I have made throughout my pregnancy. I feel a huge difference after working with her and have been continuing to see her weekly. She is so responsive to how I am feeling each week, and has given me exercises to do at home between sessions, which I feel have helped a lot. My pain got so much better after just a few sessions. She is so knowledgeable and kind, and I always leave her office feeling great. I sought out Dr. Charminae’s services when my baby was transverse at 35 weeks. She is a true gem! My baby turned after 3 sessions and my pelvis, which was out of line, feels so much better after her magic touch. Beyond that, Dr. Charminae is genuine and warm. She really takes her time to listen and develops a personalized plan of action. I also really appreciate all her suggestions for supportive exercises and relaxation techniques to do at home. I’ll continue to recommend her to all my friends seeking perinatal chiropractic care!

Dr. Charminae is the absolute best!! Not only is she amazing at what she does, but she is just a phenomenal woman. I work as a full-time RN working 12hr shifts, plus a history of car accidents. My body definitely felt the shifting it was going through as I progressed through my second trimester to birth. The pregnancy and my job took a toll on my body and old aches resurfaced such as lower back and major sciatica pain. Dr. Charminae helped provide me so much relief through my pregnancy. I can’t thank her enough. She was also very attuned to how my emotional/mental state was affecting me physically. She truly cares about the well-being of her clients as a whole. She is a Godsend to all pregnant women and all the things we have to go through. I can’t recommend her enough!

Working with Dr. Charminae for chiropractic care was the best decision I made during this pregnancy. I was experiencing lower back and pelvic pain and wanted to ensure that my body was in optimal alignment as I was attempting a VBAC. In comparison to my first pregnancy, my body felt amazing! I was not experiencing pain and was able to work out/stay active most days without a belly band, which was not the case during my first pregnancy. If I’m being honest, I was skeptical at 1st because I didn’t think my wife needed chiropractic care. But I must say, it was one of the best decisions we made for our at home birth process. Dr. Charminae is very welcoming, knowledgeable and professional at all times. Charms of Care is a great representation of black excellence/black girl magic.

Charminae was such an integral part of my pregnancy journey. Towards my third trimester I started to have incredibly difficult lower back pain, and through her careful initial assessment and therapeutic weekly treatments I feel like I’ve been able to gain a lot more mobility. She was able to quickly see how it was an alignment issue, and her recommendations for home care as well have been really helpful. The best part though is how attentive and warm she is, it makes me look forward to our weekly sessions! Dr. Charminae has been absolutely incredible throughout my pregnancy journey! From the first encounter I felt supported, heard and cared for. Dr. Charminae is awesome! We took our 2 month old (now he’s 5 months) because he was suffering from colic. I was a little nervous, but she was so kind, caring and compassionate. She explained things thoroughly and took her time with us. We saw her once to twice a week. He seemed more relaxed and struggled less with his colic after his appointments. His colic didn’t go away completely, but Dr. Charminae sure did help him a lot. I wish I came here myself when I was pregnant, I needed her skills.

Dr. Charminae is amazing! I am so happy I found her during the end of my second trimester. I was experiencing lower back pain and terrible acid reflux. She came up with a plan after the first visit and I am now on my fifth. I feel better with every alignment. I highly recommend for expecting mothers. Honestly I’m so glad I found her, and she’s in LA it’s so hard to find someone that does works on infants & in LA she’s amazing at what she does, the first day I went I felt such a relief for my son I knew she was going to be well worth it and sure enough she’s helped out my baby boy and we saw a lot of progress, thank you for all you do, Dr.Charminae you’re truly the best!!

I have currently received service at Charms of Care and I loved every bit of my experience! Charminae has helped me through some serious low pain/ hip pain that I experienced in my third trimester. I was having trouble simply walking when I went in to see her, but that issue resolved with the help of our weekly sessions. In addition to that, I feel overall more confident and relaxed about going into labor. I feel like my body is much aligned and relaxed, which helps me feel more relaxed and confident mentally (which I feel is very important for labor). Aside from the a, Charminae has a very bright and friendly personality which is always welcoming when you come in for a session. Her space is always clean and comfortable. Despite the nature of chiropractic adjustments being quick, it never feels rushed and she still takes the time to get to know a little bit about you every time. I would highly recommend seeing her during pregnancy (regardless of if you are in pain.) I wish I started seeing her sooner!

My sessions at Charms of Care helped me recover during my postpartum journey. When I first came in, I was about one month postpartum and I was in a lot of pain. Now that I’m three months postpartum I am feeling much better in my shoulders, pelvic area and lower back. I was looking into chiropractors after hurting my hip and not being able to move much in my third trimester. I started my account but never booked and Dr. Charminae reached out to me to check in that everything was ok or if I needed any immediate care. Dr. Charminae has some of the best energy to be around. She makes you feel so comfortable and welcomed into her space. She always has nice music playing. Oh and her bathroom smells wonderful. Lol. I began going to Dr. Charminae at 30 weeks. I was having some tightness in my glutes and some minor discomfort in my lower back. I’m not a flexible person what so ever, so that was a big thing we worked on through out our sessions. Which made me feel so much better leading up to the big day. I honestly think if I didn’t go see Dr. Charminae that I wouldn’t have had such a wonderful experience with my natural birth at home. I didn’t experience any discomfort or pain during my contractions in my lower back area. I only experienced pain In my abdominal area. So I was extremely fortunate. My sessions with Charms of Care were a blessing. Helping my body to align naturally for birth and giving birth naturally, with no complications. Chiropractic healing helped me to actually stay in alignment post partum to where my body wasn’t in bad shape. I would definitely recommend her services to other moms because it’s so important to help your baby down the canal and just keep your body aligned with the growth of your sacrum. What i enjoyed the most was her energy and feeling like i was in good hands of someone who knew hot to help me energetically, spiritually, and physically! Dr. Charminae is amazing! My only complaint is that I should have started seeing her sooner in my pregnancy. My midwife recommended her and I started my sessions around 25 weeks. It helped so much with my back and pelvic pain for the remainder of my pregnancy. Aside from her attentive care, Dr. Charminae has such a beautiful spirit and makes you feel so welcome and comfortable even in such short sessions. It was so refreshing to see someone who was so knowledgeable and caring. She was the perfect addition to my birth team and made the last trimester so much more bearable.

I immediately felt comfortable upon meeting Dr. Charminae. A perfect balance of warmth and knowledge. I took my newborn to her because he had been experiencing some digestive issues. I was amazed by how she was able to feel where he was holding any tension that was causing his discomfort. My boy took to her right away. She was so gentle and caring with him, and even when the adjustments weren’t pleasant she was able to soothe him immediately. My boy was noticeably better after the first visit. Though in her diagnosis she found a few more issues the needed to be addressed. Through the process she continued to check on both me and my son. You can tell she truly cares about her patients and their well-being. I’m so grateful we found Dr. Charminae and have and will continue to recommend her to other mamas.

I went to Dr. Charminae about 8 months after I had a baby. A week prior to giving birth I fell in the bath tub. I was planning on going to a chiropractor but with the pandemic and having a newborn it was hard for me to feel comfortable going to someone for the pain in my hips and lower back. I’m so glad I found her because before our sessions I was in so much pain. Walking more than 5 minutes was a struggle. After our sessions I realized how much of my pain and discomfort was unnecessary. To add on top of that her work space is comfortable and didn’t give me the feel of an office. There’s no waiting room so I didn’t have to worry about seeing other ppl. During a pandemic with a newborn this gave me the ability to relax. Not only were hands healing me but her words and kindness really helped me too. She is so kind and listens to you, she is compassionate. She never rushed me. Our conversations helped me through parts of my PPD. I will definitely recommend any new mother to try go to her.

Dr Charminae was recommended to me through a friend. At the time i already had a chiropractor but since I was pregnant my friend really encouraged me to at least check her out. She was right! I signed up to be in Dr Charminae’s care the majority of my pregnancy. She did a home visit after my water broke when the baby was in the wrong positions. She adjusted me which allowed for the baby to rotate to a safe position to deliver- a few hours later my contractions started and i had the baby within 5 hours. I really believe that small adjustment really got the ball rolling. Even in my postpartum I went to her for adjustments. Not only is she good at what she does but her energy is warm and sincere. She genuinely loves and believes in what she does and cares about Mothers. She made my experience of having my first child all the more beautiful. I highly recommend her if you are thinking of having a chiropractor during your pregnancy.

Let me start by saying I highly recommend Dr. Charminae’s services. We sought chiropractic care at the advice of my midwife due to having my left hip and shoulder higher than the right. I had never been to a chiropractor before so when we found Dr. Charminae, I was happy to learn that she was both a chiropractor specializing in care with pregnant women AND a doula! She was very thorough in her assessment, she was gentle and always explained what she was going to do next and why. She took her time to answer all our questions and used visual aids to help give a better sense of the inner workings of a pregnant belly and the benefits of chiropractic care not just for the mother but for baby as well. Of particular note, I had a back & leg pain that was recurring and she always gave me relief. I absolutely, 100% recommend Dr. Charminae’s services. She was also very understanding when I opted to cancel an appointment due to COVID concerns.

When I went to Dr. Charminae, I was skeptical of whatever help I could gain from a chiropractor. I thought it was hippy medicine of the sort that is more psychological than effective. But I was also in distress. My hips felt like knives, my lower back felt broken, and I was exhausted from insomnia. After my first adjustment, I went home and slept the entire night. The next day, I got out of bed without the pep talk and pain that had become my morning coffee. I couldn’t believe it. I continued getting my adjustments, and the results expanded. My hips were more comfortable, my entire body was less achy, and I truly came to look forward to the time I spent with Dr. Charminae. Even after my son was born, I continued to use chiropractic care for the newborn. Dr. Charminae’s adjustments helped his latch improve and reduced the pain and frustration of breastfeeding. I’m a skeptic turned believer simply because of how my body responded.

Dr. Char is an OUTSTANDING Chiropractor. For my son and I during our postpartum pregnancy she provided a phenomenal service. During my pregnancy I could only sleep on one side of my body, after birth, the side that I could only sleep on began to hurt extremely. It was difficult to walk at times, my hip would almost give out and I would stubble. After my sessions with Dr. Char I no longer have any pain whatsoever. Dr. Char also helped the baby with loosening up, he was very tight and only wanted to turn his head one way. I would most certainly recommend Dr. Char to any Prenatal/Postnatal mother in search for a Chiro, her patience with the baby and extra care with the baby and myself is what I enjoyed the most. I had an amazing experience with Dr. Charminae. I started pregnancy chiropractic care with her around 32 weeks pregnancy and it continued until birth. I even had to have her come adjust me during labor because my son was in my back giving me painful back labor. She stayed with me til he was born and even coached me through my breathing. This was a home labor and having her a part of the process made such a big impact. She goes above and beyond for her patients and anybody needing chiropractic care definitely should check her out. She is also a certified doula, and again she is amazing.

I had just moved to Dallas to start a new job and the majority of my pregnancy was behind me. The pregnancy itself was uneventful, but with the move, new job, chasing a toddler, and life in general, I was pretty miserable by the time I started seeing Dr. Char. Our appointments did more than just alleviate my achy back; she was a necessary factor in my self-care and finding peace leading up to my delivery. I went into birth relaxed and pain-free and I credit much of that to Dr. Char and her care plan. She was warm and welcoming to me and my daughter who attended sessions with me, and my daughter came to love the visits as much as I did. Dr. Char provided exceptional care before and after my delivery. I would whole-heartedly recommend Charms of Care to other expectant moms.

I had terrible SI joint pain throughout my pregnancy as well as added back pain due to scoliosis. Add to that the round ligament pain and I was miserable. But every time I left Dr. Char’s office I felt SO much better. Not only did she make me feel better physically but she was also so caring and empathetic that she improved my mental and emotional wellbeing too! Then when my sweet baby girl was born she helped me with breastfeeding issues and adjusting to new mom life. I cannot recommend her enough! And I think all pregnant moms should get chiropractic care right alongside well checks.

I would highly recommend Charms of Care! Dr. Char was able to assist with lower back pain during the end of my last trimester. If I had only known about her sooner rather than later. She was also able to help post pregnancy with latch issues between baby and I. What’s great about Dr. Char is she has a great understanding of natural childbirth, the birthing process, and is very passionate about informing her mommies so that they can make the best decision for baby and mom.

Dr. Char is the best Chiropractor you will ever have. She was my first pregnancy chiropractor and she took really good care of me. She made me feel comfortable and at ease during my pregnancy. I would a 10,000 % recommend her. If you don’t see her you are missing out and not living your best life.

She is wonderful at what she does. I do not think I would have made it through my pregnancy with out her help, support, and services. Highly recommend her to any anyone.

We totally LOVE Dr. Char! When we first met her, the aura of her office space and her natural caring & magnetic personality made us feel at ease. After one conversation we were convinced that she was VERY knowledgeable about childbirth and chiropractic treatment. My treatment went well and she kept me educated on what to expect. As a result I was able to have the natural childbirth I wanted! The thing that sets her apart from other doctors is that she genuinely cares and it literally oozes from every inkling of her existence. She has morphed into my friend/therapist on days my pregnancy hormones were surging high (smile) and has the best advice and hugs. Yep she’s a hugger! Lol All in all, we love her dearly and plan to have her back on board for the next pregnancies.

Dr. Char is incredible. First of all, as a chiropractor she is very knowledgeable. I’ve been going to chiros for over 15 years due to scoliosis. I’ve been to several “quack cracks” as well as some decent “snappers” over the years. Only 2 others can hold a candle to her with their techniques. Those “vitalistic adjusters” are in Houston and Dallas. The one in Dallas she referred me to when she left for LA. She cared for me when I had a very challenging pregnancy with my son. After he was born with special needs, she helped make a world of difference in his improvement. Other specialists he was seeing (Gl, oral surgeon, and neurologist) were amazed at the rapid improvements he made. Secondly, as a care provider she was professional, gracious, her prices were very reasonable, and her office was always a clean and relaxing place to be that was very baby and kid friendly. Lastly, as a woman she is kind, patient, sweet, has a gentle sense of humor, relaxing to be around and incredibly encouraging and supportive. Very few people have all these wonderful attributes. My family is blessed to have several wonderful care providers who exemplify alot of these characteristics. However Dr. Char surpasses them all. We were so blessed to have her in our life for the season we did. She is greatly missed, however, we are excited for her new chapter in a new city. You will be hard pressed to find a better chiropractor for your family.

My pregnancy was a breeze because of Dr Char. I had hip and back pains that I thought were normal for a pregnant woman. I felt relief after my first session! I had no issues during my pregnancy and had a very easy delivery. 3 pushes and my little one was here! I know Dr Char was the reason for this. I would recommend her to every pregnant woman. Chiropractic care is a definite necessity that doctors don’t tell you about. It eased my stress and made my baby super comfy. Dr Char is super knowledgeable about her craft and different holistic methods for having a smooth pregnancy. She made this process very easy and manageable for me and my family. I owe my wonderful experience to her care.

Dr. Char is heaven sent! During our sessions she was always encouraging, educational, and professional. She always took time to engage with how I was feeling during my pregnancy journey and offered solutions of relief to any discomfort I was feeling, including a horrible sinus infection. I’ve never had a chiropractor before, and I now feel it should be mandatory for pregnant women. My only regret is that I didn’t have her with my first two children.

I met this incredible woman at a birth class that she was giving back in Dallas. It was my first time being pregnant and not knowing what to expect nor having a birth plan whatsoever, but after leaving her class I was so relieved and confident as to what to expect on the big day. I’m so happy that I went to that class because I had been wanting to go to a chiropractor that specialized in maternity and with her fabulous help she was able to release some of the discomfort in my last weeks of pregnancy. Not only did I go to her on my last trimester, but continued to go to her post pregnancy. I was emotional when I found out she was leaving Dallas to find a new journey in Los Angeles, but I know that I can always contact her if needed. LA you are lucky to have this woman in your town!

Dr. Char is THE best hands down! She is passionate about educating women on the benefits of prenatal & postpartum chiro care. She adjusted my third baby the same day we met at a breastfeeding meeting! I noticed a difference within hours. She also adjusted me during my fourth pregnancy because I was having lower back pain. I would have called her for an adjustment during labor but my water broke out of town lol. I highly recommend Dr. Char to EVERY pregnant woman I know. She’s definitely a charm!!

Dr. Char helped me get comfortable throughout my pregnancy and my goodness THANK GOODNESS! I was sold when I went to one of her classes at Babies ‘R Us. She taught me so much in just that hour, so I knew I had to pick her brain some more. Though my pregnancy was an unusually (and luckily!) easy one, I did have the worst pain getting up from my seat at work. It took a few sessions to pinpoint the problem but once we figured it out, the relief was immeasurable. I recommend prenatal chiropractic care to new and experienced mothers, alike! My 16 sessions with Dr. Char at Charms of Care helped relieve so much of my pains and discomforts during my pregnancy and made my overall quality of life so much better! Towards the end I injured my coccyx bone and within a few sessions the pain was practically gone! My last session is today and I feel so rejuvenated and full of as much energy as ever which I didn’t expect since My due date is in a few days.

I was skeptical of using a chiropractor during pregnancy, but my body ached and I was miserable so I needed to try. Dr.Barnes is all around amazing, from her care about her patients to her personality in general. She really takes the time to know you as well as your little one. I enjoyed the personal connections she made with me. Always checking up after appointments, you can tell this is something she loves to do. I definitely recommend her to all expecting mothers if you’re stressed, in pain, etc she’s the one for you. I really appreciated the way the sessions helped me sleep better and become less anxious about my pregnancy, I learned more about my body and how to continue to feel amazing even after her services.

Dr. Char is amazing and very professional!!! Dr. Char equipped me with the knowledge I needed to help prepare me for the birth of baby. I believe that if I had not been adjusted by Dr. Char I wouldn’t have made it to full term with my baby. So, thank you sooo much Dr. Char you have been a blessing!!!
